Home >> Making Money >> Niche Website Help

A couple of days is very little compared to what you will have to put into the site to start earning. You will surely want to add more unique quality content. Be very careful to not add information that is already flooding the SERPs.

FIRST YOU WANT TO ADD A LOT OF CONTENT.

ONCE YOU DO THAT LEARN ABOUT YOUR TRAFFIC, AND YOU CAN DO THIS WITH GOOGLE ANALYTICS.

It is important to know about your site traffic and use it?

1. Is your site brand new? If so it takes a lot of time. Do not worry about making money now... put your energy into the unique content.

 2. Set a goal to have at least 500 unique visitors a day. It can takes months or even a year. Unique visitors is different from visits and hits so make sure you know the difference. The site needs actual visitors that surf your website... not bounced users, and spambot's so keep an eye on your traffic to see if its real or just a bunch of noise. Noise will not read your content and find the advertisements interesting, and surely they will not click on the ads. If you have 30K impressions a day, and 2 clicks then something is very wrong. That either means your ads are not in an ideal place, or all the impressions were from junk.

 3. Once you start seeing a nice stream of traffic, make sure you run an Analytics program to collect the traffic data on your website. Be sure to take a good look at it. Things you will want to know is ... What keywords are bringing in quality traffic? How long do they stick around? What is your bounce rate? If 60% of your visits are leaving then why? Do you know what page they enter and leave on?

 4. If you see 1,000 visits, did only 900 stick around for 30 seconds? You will have to become a site detective to find out why that is happening.

 5. Blogs/forums get new content more often, and may have a hot and heavy traffic day which can increase your earnings one day and then they drop off the next. Static sites tend to stay in a certain range unless major changes have been made.

 6. Once your site starts to move up in rank, and get traffic you will want to try your luck with moving your Adsense around and try different colors, and sizes to see what ads perform better

Be sure to note your changes and give them enough time to note a positive or negative effects. It takes time, and you coming here asking questions and reading what others have to say is a great start. Keep up the work and you will see things fall into place. Please remember though it takes time and you will not see $100.00 a week for a long time. Some of us get lucky, but the majority have a very average income from Adsense.
